They do have their cons, though. For one thing, they tend to be expensive, much more so than your standard vacuum. Most would agree that it’s worth it, however, for the convenience. After all, it’ll do the cleaning for you; all you have to do is press a few buttons and that’s it.

Kyvol is perhaps best known for its robotic vacuum cleaners. However, they also sell humidifiers, air fryers, and other eco-friendly appliances. Note: The company offers an 18-month warranty for their products so if anything goes wrong, you can get the robot fixed or replaced.

Product Description – The Kyvol Cybovac E20 is an affordable robot vacuum that comes with 2000Pa of suction power. Equipped with a 3200mAh battery, it can be used for up to 150 minutes on a single charge. There are also three cleaning modes to choose from—spot cleaning, automatic cleaning, and edge cleaning. Just connect the device to your phone and you’ll be able to control the device via the mobile app. If you want, you can even use it with Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa.

The unit itself is very straightforward. There are two main buttons on the surface—one to start/stop the robot and another for it to return to the charging base. There’s also a WiFi status indicator at the top that you can refer to.

Pros of the Kyvol Cybovac E20

Easy to Use: The robot vacuum is very easy to use. It works from the app, remote control, or if you want, you can connect it to Alexa or Google Assistant and control it with voice commands.

Decent Suction: The robot has solid suction power on hard surfaces. It’ll get rid of dust, dirt, food crumbs, you name it. The only thing is that it doesn’t work that well for pet hair.

Affordable Price: The Cybovac E20 is very affordable. For $200, you get a unit that comes with a mobile app and voice controls. If anything, all that it’s missing is a mapping feature.

It’s Quiet: It’s pretty quiet for a cleaning robot with high power. You’ll still be able to watch TV easily, though you probably won’t want to leave it running while you’re on a video call.

Slim Design: The robot has a very sleek and slim design (it’s noticeably less bulky than the Roomba), which allows it to clean underneath furniture such as beds and sofas.

A Few Drawbacks

Here are a few issues that people have run into with the E20:

Not the Best For Pet Hair

Don’t expect the E20 to pick up every strand of pet hair on the floor—this is especially true for carpeted areas/rugs. Also, hair tends to accumulate underneath the side brushes, where they attach to the unit. For this reason, we wouldn’t recommend it for pet owners.

Short Battery Life

Battery life is average at best. Despite what it says in the product description, the robot rarely runs for an hour (it usually caps at around 55 minutes). And more often than not, it’ll run into problems when trying to return to the base for recharge.

Random Cleaning Pattern 

The Cybovac E20 doesn’t come with a mapping feature. What this means is that it’ll clean your house in a random pattern. As a result, it will likely miss some spots.

Connectivity Issues

Several users have experienced connectivity issues with the robot. Either it won’t connect to your phone or it won’t connect to your WiFi. If that happens, you won’t be able to use the Kyvol mobile app.

Can Get Stuck On Rugs

The Kyvol E20 can get caught on area rugs, especially when it’s climbing on. Fortunately, you can prevent the problem with a bit of double-sided carpet tape.

Issues With Scheduled Cleanings

The scheduled cleaning function can be a bit glitchy sometimes. You’ll set it up for a time, and it’ll automatically run at a different time. Fortunately, there are ways to resolve the issue (consider contacting their customer service team if you’re having problems).

How to Use the Kyvol Cybovac E20 Robot Vacuum

Start by removing the protective materials on the sides of the robot. Next, attach the side brushes. Simply press them into the slots—they’ll click into place.

The next step is to set up the charging base. Place it on a flat surface against the wall and connect the power adapter into the base and plug the other end into an outlet. Remove all objects within a 1-2 meter radius. There’s storage space at the back of the base for your cord.

Fully charge the robot before using it for the first time. Manually align the charging contacts on the bottom of the unit with those on the charging base. It will take approximately 6 to 6.5 hours for a full charge.

Regular Maintenance

The dust bin should be cleaned after each use. The same goes for the filter (unless you have pets, in which you’ll want to clean it more often). As for the side brushes, it’s best to clean them once per week as hair can get tangled at the bottom. The main brush, however, you can clean once every two months. Consider replacing it every 6-12 months or when it’s visible worn.

Don’t forget to give them sensors and charging contact a good wipe after each use as well, or else they might not function as they should.

The Kyvol Cybovac E20 goes for $199.99, which makes it one of the more affordable robot vacuums that you can get. The only thing is that it’s not always in stock on Amazon. In fact, it’s currently unavailable on the site.

As far as spare parts go, you can find them on Amazon. For example, you can get a replacement dustbin or filter. You can also get extra boundary strips, though they’re not the cheapest ($25.99 per roll).
