Easy Gleam Mop and Bucket Set Review
How often do you mop the floors in your house? Ideally, you want to do it once a week as part of your cleaning routine. That’ll reduce dust, pet dander, and other allergens that can otherwise accumulate quickly. This is especially true for high-traffic areas such as the entrance, kitchen, hallways, and bathrooms.
It’s also important that you mop correctly because yes, there is a proper way to do it. For one thing, you always want to vacuum beforehand; that’ll remove loose debris from the floor so that they won’t scratch the floor as you drag the mop around. You should also be changing the mop pad frequently as you clean. And always start in the far corner furthest from the door- that way, you won’t dirty the floor again once it’s been cleaned.
As for what kind of mop to use- there are a few options. For example, you can use a sponge mop, steam mop, or looped-end mop. On this page, however, we’ll be focusing on the microfiber variety. More specifically, we’ll be taking a look at the Easy Gleam Mop and Bucket Set.
What accessories does it come with? How well does the bucket system work? Find out all that and more by reading the rest of the post!
The Easy Gleam Mop and Bucket Set
Easy Gleam is a small brand that you can find on Amazon. As far as we can tell, they only sell one product, which is the mop and bucket set. Despite that, they seem to have made a name for themselves given the number of reviews that they’ve racked up on the site.
The Easy Gleam Mop and Bucket Set is highly versatile in that it can be used on multiple surfaces including hardwood, marble, ceramic tile, laminate, vinyl, and more. Not only is it great for picking up dust and dirt but it’s also suitable for soaking up spills. On top of that, the mop head swivels so you can easily clean hard-to-reach places. As for the bucket, it comes with two chambers, which allows you to rinse and dry the mop head quickly and effortlessly. If anything, you just need to supply your own cleaning solution!
What’s in the Box?
- 1 Microfiber Flat Mop
- 1 Two-chamber Bucket System
- 3 Microfiber Cleaning Pads
Assembly – Start by putting the handle together- simply twist the pole pieces into place. Once you’ve done that, attach the mop head to the bottom. From there, stick one of the mop pads on; all you have to do is align it with the base- the plastic velcro tabs will hold it in place.
The Microfiber Flat Mop – The handle measures approx. 51.5 inches. Unfortunately, the length isn’t adjustable so make sure that it’s suitable for your height before purchasing.
Bucket System: The bucket comes with two chambers. More specifically, there’s a ‘wash’ side and a ‘dry’ side. The former is for rinsing the mop head while the latter is for removing excess water from the pads. To use the chamber system, all you have to do is ‘fold’ up the mop pad- that’ll let you fit it into the slots at the top. There’s also a handle at the top for carrying and a drain hole at the bottom for when you need to empty the bucket.
Microfiber Cleaning Pads: The mop and bucket set comes with three microfiber pads, which are great for trapping dirt and cleaning up spills. They’re also washable- you can either pop them in the washing machine or wash them by hand with warm water. Just don’t use bleach or fabric softener.
Different mops have different constructions. That’s why you want to do your homework before making a decision. For example, you can read up on some reviews- that should give you a better idea of how durable the product is. Or if you can, try to see it in person.
How Durable Is the Easy Gleam Mop and Bucket System?
Like most mop and bucket systems, the Easy Gleam is mostly made of plastic. That includes the bucket and mop head. The only metal part is the handle, which is made of stainless steel. In other words, it shouldn’t break that easily.
And while the mop pads aren’t super thick, they’re thick enough to do the job. They also wash up well- just don’t tumble dry and they should last many mopping sessions.
Pros of the Easy Gleam Mop and Bucket System
Lightweight and Compact: The mop is lightweight and doesn’t take that much effort to use. As for the bucket, it’s quite compact. In other words, it won’t take much storage space. At the same time, it’s quite durable.
Swivel Head: The swivel head allows you to easily reach in and around furniture. The only thing is that it isn’t that great for corners (more on this later).
Eco-friendly: The Easy Gleam comes with reusable mop pads, which makes it that much more eco-friendly. You won’t have to throw them away after each use, you can just toss them in the washer.
Versatile: Like most microfiber mops, it can be used to clean a variety of floor types from hardwood to ceramic tile. Just make sure that the mop pad isn’t overly wet and you’re good to go. Also, you can use it for other surfaces such as windows and walls.
It Comes With Three Pads: The mop doesn’t just come with one mop pad, it comes with three. In other words, you won’t have to buy any extras for a while; the ones that they provide you with should last several months.
A Few Drawbacks
The Easy Gleam Mop and Bucket System works well for the most parts, however, it does have some flaws, which we’ll be outlining below.
The Lid Comes Off Easily
The bucket doesn’t work as well as it should due to the quality of the lid- it doesn’t fit securely at the top at all and because of this, it has a tendency of coming off when you pull the mop head out of the bucket after rinsing or drying the pad.
Quality of the Handle
The mop handle is made of stainless steel, however, the metal is very thin and loose. Because of this, it tends to come undone when you’re mopping. If anything, this seems to be one of the major issues with the product.
Not Great For Corners
The microfiber pad doesn’t cover the entire surface of the mop head. Because of this, there’s no way to really clean corners with the mop. It’ll end up pushing dirt into the corners instead.
The Drain At the Bottom Isn’t Very Practical
There’s a green plug at the bottom of the bucket for draining the water but they’re not very practical. If anything, it’s more of a gimmick than anything. For one thing, it’s quite stiff. It’d be much easier to empty the bucket by removing the lid at the top.
Not the Best At Picking Up Dirt
The mop pads aren’t that great at picking up dirt. If anything, it’s only effective for dust and other small debris. Given that, you definitely want to vacuum the area first.
Lack of Instructions
The instructions that it comes with aren’t very clear. We highly recommend watching the video that’s posted on the listing if you’re having trouble assembling the product.
How Well Does It Clean?
The Easy Gleam Mop and Bucket system is good for everyday cleaning. It won’t get rid of food crumbs or kitty litter, but it will eliminate dust and other small particles from the floor. That’s why we recommend using a vacuum before mopping. Also, as we said earlier, the mop head doesn’t really get into corners- you’ll need to clean those up with something else. And don’t expect to scrub the floor with it- that’s not what it’s designed for.
Who Would We Recommend It To?
- People looking for a small and compact mop
- People who don’t want to rinse and dry their mop pads manually
- People who plan on doing some light cleaning
Cost and Pricing Information

In terms of extra parts, they do offer them through the site. For example, you can get an extra pack of pads for $7.95. You can also get an extra extension pole for $4.95. For more information, check out their Amazon shop.
