Coredy R750 Robot Vacuum Cleaner & Mop Review

Not a fan of cleaning the house? Don’t worry, you’re not the only one. After all, it can be quite tedious. With that said, it’s not something that you want to neglect. The last thing that you want is to surround yourself with filth! For one thing, it would affect your health in more than one way.

Assuming that you have hard floors (e.g. laminate, hardwood, tiles, etc), you want to make a habit of mopping once a week. That way, grime won’t have a chance to build-up. Trust me, it’s not something that you want. What type of mop should you get? It depends. Do you want something that’ll spray the floors for you? If so, spray mops are a good choice. Want something that’ll also get rid of debris? Then you might want to go for a 2-in-1 vacuum and mop.

Do you know what else is cool? Robot mops. You’ve probably seen them before—they’re flat and resemble a circular disc. Tiny robots, they’ll clean the floor for you with the press of a button. If anything, they’ve become more and more popular in recent years. It’s not surprising, though, given how convenient they are! The only thing is that they tend to be more expensive compared to other types of mops. After all, you’re essentially buying a mini-computer!

Thinking of investing in one of these devices? How about the Coredy R750? It’s a 2-in-1 that’s both capable of mopping and vacuuming! Want to learn more? Then you’ll want to check out our review below.

The Coredy R750 Vacuum Cleaner & Mop

Coredy has been around since 2011. A technology-driven company, they specialize in robot vacuums that are meant to simplify the cleaning process. That is, their goal is to develop affordable robotic devices that’ll do the cleaning for you so that you can spend time on more important things. Where can you buy their robots? On their official website. On top of that, they’re also available on Amazon.

The Coredy R750 is a robot vacuum cleaner that comes with an intelligent mopping system. Equipped with a water pump, you can control the amount of water that you want to use while it’s cleaning. As for the vacuum, it features 1600Pa of power, which is enough to remove most debris from the floor. Easy to use, the device comes with a smart app that’s both compatible with Google Assistant and Alexa. In other words, you can control the R750 with voice commands while sitting back and relaxing. Featuring a washable HEPA filter, it’s also suitable for those with allergies.

What’s Included

The Coredy R750 comes with many parts. Aside from the actual unit, here’s what you’ll get out:

  • 1 Water tank
  • 1 Mop Cloth
  • 4 Side Brushes
  • 1 Extra HEPA Filter
  • 1x Remote Control
  • 1x Cleaning Brush
  • 1 Charging Dock (w/ AC adapter)
  • 2 Boundary Strips (6.6 ft)

As you can see, there’s quite a bit that comes with the R750. First, let’s talk about the water tank—it’s the thing that you have to fill up if you’re using the mopping function. Using it is pretty straightforward in that all you have to do is open the lid and fill it up with water. Then there’s a mop cloth. Basically, it’s the “pad” that goes on the bottom; it allows the robot to mop your floors.

In addition to that, it comes with four side brushes (two extras) that help feed debris into the vacuum. They’re easy to install—you just snap them on. There’s also a HEPA filter that helps to trap allergens and other particles.

Installation: Once you’ve snapped on the side brushes, charge it up with the AC adapter. From there, you can turn it on by pressing the power button.

Smart Features

How “smart” is the R750? Let’s take a look at some of its features…

Cleaning Schedules

Like most robot cleaners, the R750 allows you to customize cleaning schedules. That way, it’ll clean even when you’re not at home. It’s easy to do as well—just use the Coredy Robot App! For example, you can set it so that it’ll run automatically at night.

Boost-Intellect Technology

One thing that sets the R750 apart from other robot cleaners is its Boost-Intellect Technology. Basically, it allows it to move seamlessly between hard floors and carpets (rugs as well). It does this by lifting two large wheels while increasing suction power.

Virtual Barriers

Worried about the robot falling down the stairs? You don’t have to—it’s equipped with dual-hall sensors that allow it to detect boundary strips (which are included with the product). That way, it’ll only clean where you want it to clean. You can also use the strips to keep it away from furniture and other objects.

Recharges Automatically

The R750 is designed so that it’ll automatically return to the charging dock when its battery goes below a certain level. In other words, you won’t have to worry about it stopping half-way due to low power. It’ll continue the task as soon as it’s fully charged. You can also use the mobile app to recharge it at any time.

Find My Robot

The R750 comes with a “Find My Robot” function that lets you easily locate the robot—that is, it’ll start beeping so that you can find it effortlessly.

Potential Issues With the Coredy R750 Vacuum Cleaner & Mop

Unfortunately, there’s no such thing as a perfect product. Here are a few things that you might want to keep in mind before getting the R750:

It Tends to Get Stuck Under Furniture

The R750 has a low profile but that doesn’t mean that it won’t get trapped under furniture. In fact, it has a tendency of getting stuck under things like beds and sofas. Given that, you may want to re-position your furniture before using the robot.

It Doesn’t Come with a Mapping Feature

Unlike some of the more expensive models, it doesn’t come with a mapping feature. Put it simply, it doesn’t know where it’s cleaned and where it still needs to go. You can’t tell it to stay in a certain room either unless you physically block it by closing the door.

It has a Random Cleaning Pattern

The R750 has a random cleaning pattern. Since it doesn’t come with a mapping feature, it can’t “learn” the layout of your house, which means that it may clean the same area over and over while leaving other areas untouched.

Hair Tends to Get Caught On the Side Brushes

The side brushes have a habit of catching hair—including animal fur. Once that happens, you’ll have to manually clean it off, otherwise, it won’t be able to function properly. If you’re a pet owner with a bunch of fur around the house, you might find this to be a bit of a hassle.

It Can Get Stuck on Rugs

Despite its Boost-Intellect Technology, it can and will get stuck on rugs and carpets. The same thing goes for floor mats. In fact, it’s not uncommon for these things to dislocate the side brushes. So if you have a lot of area rugs, it might be a good idea to put them aside while you’re using the R750.

Does It Clean Well?

The mopping feature works relatively well. Compared to other robot cleaners, it doesn’t use that much water either so one full tank will last you a while. While I wouldn’t say that it’s good for deep cleaning, the mop pad does do a fairly good job of wiping dirt and dust off the floor. It also picks up any hair that’s missed by the vacuum. Keep in mind, however, that the unit won’t be able to charge if the mop attachment is on. Another thing is that sometimes it’ll try to mop your rugs and carpets.

The vacuum opening is a little narrow but it gets the job done. Its low profile also means that it’s able to clean hard-to-reach areas (assuming that it doesn’t get stuck). The dust bin is on the small side but at least it’s easy to empty, which you’ll have to do often, especially if you have a pet that sheds.

Overall, the R750 is a functional machine. It can mop and vacuum, though probably not as well as standalone devices. With that said, it does do a good job of cleaning most surfaces, including rugs and carpet.

How to Use the Coredy R750 Vacuum Cleaner & Mop

Start by plugging the charging dock into a power outlet—it should be placed against a wall on a hard surface. From there, install the side brushes to the bottom of the R750; you should hear a click once they’re snapped on properly. The next thing that you want to do is to put the robot onto the charging dock. Make sure that the metal charging contacts match up with those on its underside. Once it’s charged, you’ll hear a few beeps and the button power will light up.

To start cleaning, press on the power button to wake it up and press it again to start a cleaning cycle. Alternatively, you can use the app. To do that, you’ll have to create a user account using your phone number or email. You’ll eventually be asked to add your device—just follow the on-screen prompts.

Pro-tip: You can use the app to switch between auto cleaning, spot cleaning, manual cleaning, and edge cleaning modes.

Regular Maintenance

The water tank and dust bin should be emptied after each use. The same thing goes for the mopping cloth—you should clean it once you’re done with it. As for the side brush, rolling brush, and filter, they should be cleaned once per week (more often if you have a pet). Once they’re visible worn, you’ll have to replace them (usually every 2-3 months).

Cost and Pricing Information

The Coredy R750 is relatively affordable at $299.90. Of course, that includes free shipping as well. It’s also worth mentioning that it comes with a 1-year warranty. So if anything happens within one year, you can contact the company and they’ll fix the issue for you.

For those who’re interested in buying extra accessories, you can also find those on their website/Amazon store. For instance, you can get a pack of replacement side brushes (8 in a pack) for $19.99. They give you a couple of extras, however, so unless you lose them, you shouldn’t have to buy more for several months.

Our Take
The Coredy R750 is a 2-in-1 machine that features a vacuum and a mopping system. Easy to use, it comes with a smart app that you can use to schedule cleanings, find the device, and more. Keep in mind, though, that it doesn’t come with a mapping function. As a result, there’s a high chance that it’ll get “lost” while it’s cleaning. Not only that, but it tends to clean in a random pattern so some areas may be missed. For the price, however, it’s worth a try if you’re looking for an affordable robot vacuum and mop.
