The Beyoco Microfiber Spray Mop

Beyoco is one of those brands that you can only find on Amazon. In fact, they don’t sell anything else as far as we can tell. Don’t let that discourage you from trying their mop, though. From the looks of it, it seems to be well-liked by customers, judging by the number of positive reviews that it has amassed on the site.

Product Description

The Beyoco Spray Mop can be used on a variety of surfaces from hardwood to laminate. Featuring an extendable handle, it can be used to clean hard-to-reach such as walls, ceilings, etc. As if that wasn’t convenient enough, it also comes with a 360-degree rotating mop head. In other words, cleaning will be that much easier. Unlike other spray mops, you’re not restricted to a specific cleaner either—you can use whatever you want! Just add it to the water tank and you’re ready to go.

What’s In the Box?

Here’s what comes with the Beyoco Microfiber Spray Mop:

  • 1 Spray Mop
  • 1 Removable Water Tank
  • 3 Microfiber Mop Cloths

Assembly: The mop handle comes as three separate parts—start by attaching them together. You should hear a “click” when they’re in place. Once you’ve done that, attach the pole to the mop base. From there, all that’s left for you to do is to stick on one of the microfiber mop pads.

Like most spray mops, the Beyoco comes with a removable water tank. In other words, you can fill it up at the sink instead of having to pour the liquid in with the reservoir attached. To take it out, all you have to do is pull straight up (it might require a bit of force the first few times). Capacity-wise, the bottle holds up to 300ml of water. For the best results, add two teaspoons of cleaning solution. If you want, you can also add a few drops of essential oils.

Last but not least, there are three mop pads, all of which are made of a soft microfiber material. Grey in color, they can be put in the wash with the rest of your laundry so you can use them again and again. In terms of how to attach them, just use the velcro strips at the bottom (make sure they are aligned properly)—they will hold the pad in place.

As you can see, the spray mop does not come with a cleaning solution; you will have to provide your own. The good news is that you can pretty much use anything including white vinegar.

Build Quality

With mops, you always want to take a look at how they’re made. After all, they’re not all the same—some will be more durable than others. That’s why it’s always a good idea to see it in person first before making a purchase (photos can be deceiving online).

Ideally, you want a mop that has a stainless steel or aluminum pole as they tend to be the most durable. Stay away from those that are made of plastic; they tend to crack easily with regular use.

How does the Beyoco mop fare in terms of quality? It’s decent. For one thing, the handle is made of high-quality aluminum. The mop pads are also a nice thickness, which makes them ideal for absorbing spills. They also hold up quite well in the washing machine so we have no major complaints about that.

If anything, you just want to be careful with the water tank as it is plastic, which means that it can break if you accidentally drop it on the floor.

Drawbacks That You Should Know About

The Beyoco Microfiber Spray Mop has its pros but it also has its cons. Here’s what you need to know.

The Water Tank Is Small

The water reservoir isn’t very big. In other words, you will have to refill it at least once when you’re mopping. If you’re not careful, the liquid can also leak out. As you can imagine, this can quickly become a hassle if you have a large area to clean.

Not Meant For Deep Cleaning

The spray mop is great for removing surface dirt and dust. It isn’t, however, meant for deep cleaning. For one thing, the pole isn’t designed for scrubbing motions—it’ll probably end up coming apart. So keep that in mind if you’re looking for something to remove caked-on messes.

Quality Issues

Some people have experienced issues where their spray mop stops working after a few uses (e.g. spray nozzle will stop dispensing liquid). From what it seems, it might be a QC problem. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to get your money back if this happens after the return period.

The Handle Could Be Longer

The mop handle is extendable, however, it’s not as long as some of the other ones out there. If you’re on the tall side, you will have to hunch down to mop, which can result in back pain after a while.

The Handle Isn’t the Most Secure

The way it’s designed, the metal poles fit into one another to create the handle. There’s just one problem—it doesn’t always stay together. In fact, several people have said that theirs came apart when they started to mop. Obviously, that would render the mop useless.

The Spray Trigger Is a Little Flimsy

The spray trigger at the top of the mop isn’t very strong. If anything, it’s a little flimsy—like it will break apart if you squeeze too hard so be careful when you’re using it.

Missing Instructions

Some people have said that their Beyoco Microfiber mop came without instructions. Obviously, that would make the assembly part much more difficult—you’d have to dig around on the internet for the steps.

Plastic Is Very Lightweight

The handle might be made out of aluminum, but the other parts of the mop are made of plastic—very light plastic that seems to break easily. So you’ll want to be careful when you’re moving it around. The last thing that you want is to accidentally crack the mop base or tank by dropping it onto the ground (which can very well happen).

Does It Clean Well?

As with all mops, we recommend vacuuming or sweeping the area beforehand. That way, there won’t be any dirt or grit on the floor, which you would otherwise push around with the microfiber cloth. Not only would that be inefficient, but it can also end up scratching up your floors.

In terms of its cleaning ability, it’s decent for light mopping. The spray nozzle dispenses a decent amount of liquid, which the mop cloth will soak up and use to clean the floor. Seeing as how it’s made of microfiber, the pad can also be used to remove hair (including pet fur).

And when you’re finished mopping, you can put the mop pad in the washing machine or if you want, you can wash it by hand with some warm water and soap.

Who Would We Recommend the Mop For?

  • People who live in small condos or apartments (due to the size of the water tank)

Cost and Pricing Information

The Beyoco Spray Mop is pretty inexpensive. On Amazon, it usually goes for around $22 (it’s currently out of stock at the time of this writing). Shipping, of course, is also free as are returns. In other words, the only other thing that you’ll be paying is tax.

Extra pads, however, are not available from the company. Don’t worry, though, there are many third-party brands that are compatible with the mop. If anything, just check the size! Or if you want, you can even create your own out of an ordinary towel.

And another thing—it doesn’t come with a cleaning solution so you’ll have to get a bottle of that as well, assuming that you don’t already have some at home.

Our Take
The Beyoco Spray Mop can be used on a variety of hard surfaces including laminate, hardwood, tile, and vinyl. Easy to use, it comes with a spray trigger at the top, which allows you to dispense cleaning solution onto the floor. The mop head also rotates 360-degrees so you can get those corners and edges. As if that wasn’t great enough, you can use any cleaner you want with it! Keep in mind, however, that the water tank is on the small side so you’ll likely have to refill as you mop. Not only that, but the product isn’t meant for deep cleaning. Some people have also experienced quality issues. If you can get it for cheap, though, it can be a nice cleaning tool to have.
