Mop and bucket floor cleaning systems are designed to make an everyday household chore into a far more comfortable and convenient experience. Today we are going to be reviewing the Aootek Stainless Steel Spin Mop and Bucket Floor Cleaning System to see quite how much it improves the ease with which you can get sparkling clean floors, so let’s get right into it.
Aootek Upgraded Stainless Steel Deluxe 360 Spin Mop And Bucket Floor Cleaning System
Aootek are a fairly new company that have not previously launched any other cleaning products. The company has made a name for itself as an innovator of Solar LED lighting products, and it also offers a variety of survival kits and first aid kits, but the company aims to develop products that make routine tasks easier through the use of advanced technology, and that’s the idea behind their sole cleaning product, the Aootek Upgraded Stainless Steel Deluxe 360 Spin Mop And Bucket Floor Cleaning System.
The Aootek Spin Mop and Bucket Floor Cleaning System comes complete with the following parts.
- A high-quality Stainless Steel mop handle
- A Dual Spout bucket made from heavy duty plastic, complete with a Stainless Steel dry mop basket compartment
- Three 9″ Microfiber mop heads
It’s clear that the Aootek Stainless Steel Spin Mop and Bucket Floor Cleaning System has been designed with durability in mind, and on that score it performs well. The mop handle has been constructed from Stainless Steel, which although heavier than aluminium, is far stronger. The overall weight of the handle with mop head attached comes in at only 4.85 lbs, and the handle also has an adjustable length from 37.4 inches to 48.4 inches, and in addition it can be adjusted from 180 to 45 degrees for an easy to use mopping position.
The bucket is not only sturdy, but is also notably light, easily able to be lifted by the sturdy Stainless Steel handle. The mop handle has a lock button to lock the length in place, but when this is switched to the unlock position, the excess water can be easily spun off into the basket using a patented centrifugal force spinning system. All you have to do is unlock the handle, and push down on the handle. As it shortens the mop head begins to spin extremely rapidly, leaving your mop head completely dry in seconds when placed in the spin dry basket.
The Bucket also has a few other innovative features to make your cleaning routine easier. Firstly it has a built in detergent bottle over the spin dry basket, so that you can easily sanitize your mop after drying it out. Secondly there is a draining plug located at the bottom of the bucket for draining water easily without having to tip it over. The spinning basket used to dry your mop head is made from stainless steel too, so it won’t rust over time.
The Microfiber mop heads are also high quality, and with the automatic self-wringing system are quickly dried out. They are machine washable and fairly thick, and most users find that they will last from six to twelve months depending on usage.
With over 660 reviews on Amazon, the Aootek Spin Mop and Bucket Floor Cleaning System has received four or five stars in 75% of cases, but there are 17% of reviews with only one or two stars, and some reservations about the system are common amongst them. Several reviewers noted that if too much pressure was applied to the mop handle, then the plastic that attaches the microfiber pad to the handle scratched their floors. Another common complaint was that the bucket was very thin, and only just big enough to fit the mop head in when attempting to use the automatic spin dry system.
Some reviewers noted that the handle was too short for them to use, in particular one lady who was 5’ 4”, however, another reviewer of 6’ 1” thought it was more than long enough. The handle extends up to a length of 48.4 inches, or just over 4 feet long, and although many found that to be perfectly fine, as someone over six feet tall myself, it does seem that the mop may be more suitable for shorter people if you wish to completely avoid bending over while using it.
Most reviewers found the entire system to be completely durable and still working perfectly after many months, although some did note that the lock button that must be switched over to use the spin system became slightly stiff after a while. The biggest concern I found from several otherwise satisfied customers was the lack of available replacement microfiber pads. Although the system comes complete with three pads, which should last anywhere from 1.5 to 3 years, the company does not currently supply replacement pads
Does it Clean Well?
I found several video reviews of the Aootek Spin Mop and Bucket Floor Cleaning System from satisfied customers who found the process easy, quick and effective. Additionally many reviewers found the system highly effective on wooden and tile floors, even when heavy grease and grime needed to be cleaned. The effectiveness of the automatic spinning system was one major advantage for many, and there’s no doubt that the centrifugal force does spin the mop head at extremely high speed. More than one user demonstrated that the mibrofiber pad was completely dry after spinning, to the extent that it didn’t even leave any moisture on a tissue.
Several users remarked how easy to use the mop was, completely eliminating the need for bending at all for them, and for light domestic use, this product appears to be one of the most durable, as long as the microfiber pads are properly attached and stop floors from being scratched.
Allthough the reviews were fairly polarized, with most users finding the product great value, and a minority finding it completely useless, I did get the impression that those who treated the Aootek Spin Mop and Bucket Floor Cleaning System with care and maintained it properly got the best use out of it. It’s likely that those who go about their floor cleaning in a careful and gentle manner will find it good value, but exerting too much pressure on an already worn-down pad may cause some damage to wooden floors.
The Microfiber mop heads, which are around 9 inches in diameter, are highly effective at dealing with fairly heavy cleaning, as are all microfiber pads, but they may be less effective when dealing with dust and hairs, so sweeping a floor may be advisable before you clean it. The pads contain a soft plastic center, and are suitable for machine washing. Several users noted that they were still using their first pads even after a year or more, but even though the pads can last a long time, and two replacements are included in the package, as of yet there are still no replacement pads available from Aootek.
Cost & Pricing Information
The Aootek Spin Mop and Bucket Floor Cleaning System comes in all together at £29.99, complete with a one year warranty. Considering that the components are made from high-quality materials and that the system is noted for good durability, as well as the fact that two replacement microfiber mop heads are included in the package, it’s a fairly good price.
Similar products, usually made from less durable materials are priced about the same, and often will not contain replacement microfiber mop heads, which would cost in the region of $15 for a pack of two replacements, but considering that Aootek do not currently offer any additional replacement mop heads, the life span of an otherwise sturdy cleaning system is at the moment limited to how long the three mop heads that come with the package last.

MicroFiber Mop Head (Our Recommended Type)
Made from high-quality materials and very durable

May not be suitable for heavy, commercial or industrial cleaning
Lack of Replacement Mop Heads is a concern
Overall the Aootek Spin Mop and Bucket Floor Cleaning System is well-made and has greater durability than many other cleaning systems. The system is reasonably priced for the initial package and should be an ideal choice for domestic use, although heavier or commercial uses may limit the lifespan of the microfiber mop heads. The biggest drawback to the system currently is the lack of available replacement mop heads from the manufacturer.
